Lynne Nelson…her love of dance sealed the deal but meeting Jerry and Julie from the BMA Dine and Dance Foundation was a close second.
Lynne is a KC native who worked as an RN and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in the KC metro area since 1989. As a Nurse Practitioner, she referred numerous patients to Charlie’s House which is the charity she is representing and supporting for Dine and Dance. Charlie’s House’s mission it to help prevent accidents and injuries to children in and around the home. While working with pregnant patients and their newborns, she understands the importance of child safety. Many of her patients received assistance from Charlie’s House for car seat assistance and sleep safely support. Charlie’s House also proved advise and assistance with childproofing virtually and at their on site building.
Lynne is excited to keep the BMA Dine and Dance tradition alive in her less than traditional family. Her de facto stepson, Andy Doohan represented Charlie’s House last season in the BMA Dine and Dance event. She hopes to match or exceed Andy’s fundraising effort. If you know the Doohan’s they are all about a little “friendly competition.”
Lynne’s professional dance partner is Tony Witt. She also hopes to help Tony obtain a much deserved “three-peat” as he and his partners have won the event the past 2 seasons.
