Catie Gerstner

Catie Gerstner has been dancing since she was 2 years old. When she would learn a new step or trick, she would finish with “ta da!” She competed in dance and gymnastics for over 15 years, traveling all over the country and internationally. The competitive and life skills she learned prepared her for the biggest challenge of her life.
In 2011 at the age of 17 Catie developed leukemia. After six months, four intense rounds of chemotherapy and respiratory failure, she beat cancer and graduated from Blue Springs South high school.
Catie went on to get her bachelor of science degree at Avila University and her juris doctor degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Catie now works as in-house counsel for TAFS. She has been involved in many charitable organizations. She loves spending time with family, friends, and her doodle Cash. After attending this event in the past, Catie is very excited to be a part of the dancing team this year.
