Born and raised in Grandview, Missouri, Richard Lewis is a University of Missouri graduate, Lead Engineer at T. Rowe Price, and Ironman triathlete with the Wolfpack Triathlon Club, who also teaches fitness classes at the Lenexa Rec Center, helping people of all ages build confidence and strength through movement.
Richard is honored to dance for the BMA Foundation and for the many children, families, and adults who face life’s hardships with courage and grace. He has seen firsthand how even small acts of generosity can make a real difference in people’s lives.
When Richard learned the story of Jerry and Mary Ellen Anselmo and how they created the BMA Foundation to honor their son Brian, he found it deeply meaningful. The way they turned personal loss into a legacy of hope and service resonated with his own beliefs. He reflected on the guiding phrase, “A Man for Others” which mirrors his philosophy that, no matter our differences, we are strongest when we lift one another up.
Richard is grateful for the opportunity to dance and to celebrate a community that makes Kansas City a place where kindness and connection thrive.
