I’m Steve Moberly, a Kansas City native who recently returned home to raise my two energetic boys, Liam (9) and Harlan (8). After high
school, I moved to Las Vegas to earn a degree in Hospitality Management from UNLV. My career journey has taken me across the country and beyond—Lake
Tahoe (twice), Las Vegas (three times), the East Coast, Puerto Rico, Colorado—and now back to Kansas City.
Currently, I serve as Director of Operations at Ameristar Kansas City and own two
Firehouse Subs locations in Colorado Springs. My passion for wine, food, and travel shaped my
career path, allowing me the privilege of working with world-class chefs and prestigious hotel
companies.
Outside of work, my greatest joy is creating unforgettable experiences for my two “tornado
boys.” I’m an avid skier and snowboarder, love the mountains, and enjoy rock climbing,
backpacking, and cycling—my garage looks like a mini REI! I’m a proud Kansas City sports fan
and a loyal Jayhawk supporter (sorry Missouri Tiger fans!).
Giving back has always been important to me. In college, my fraternity supported the Children’s
Miracle Network, sparking a lifelong commitment to helping children in need. After returning to
Kansas City, I connected with Bags of Fun, an incredible organization that delivers curated
backpacks to bring joy to children battling critical and life-threatening conditions.
And for the record—I’m an excellent dancer WITH CONDITIONS…..after a bottle of wine, a
few shots of tequila, or a strong pour of bourbon. If flasks aren’t allowed in the dressing room,
just close your eyes and send my apologies for the show.
